Another great chance for cross country training with Donald Kear on 30th August at Bucklands Farm, Balcombe, RH17 6JT


10am - up to 80cm
11.30am - over 80cm


The jumps are set in undulating fields ranging from 50cm to 100cm. There are a variety of fences, including shallow steps, ditches, a water with two different height entry or exit, a small woodland section and a mound.
Sessions will be restricted to groups of 4 riders and will be abiding by the rules and regulations that are in place at the time as set by BRC with regards to COVID-19.


Only £30 for HDRC members including course hire, £35 for non-members

Riders are not permitted in this section if they are a FBHS, BHSI, BHSII or BD Groups 1-6. The rider cannot have competed at BE 100 or above during the last 3 years.
Horses cannot have competed at elementary or above in BD or BRC. The horse can have unlimited BD points at Prelim but 0 points at BD Novice.
Should any of these apply the rider can go H/C in the Intro or Open section at Prelim

DRESS  Everyone mounted must wear a hard hat conforming to current standards with the harness properly adjusted and fastened.


ORGANISER’S RIGHTS: The organisers reserve the right to alter, change,cancel and / or amalgamate classes or refuse entry without stating a reason. The judge’s /organiser’s decision is final. All competitors must abide by the steward’s instruction. Any persons riding or acting in a dangerous or inconsiderate manner or misusing whip or spurs may be asked to leave the showground and may be banned from future shows.
RULES Classes will be run under the relevant equestrian body rules i.e. British Dressage/British Riding Clubs and the British Horse Society. In the case of BD these are available from the BD office at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire CV8 2LR

NO lunging in sand school practice arena. Remember to clear all droppings from the car park before departure. Please be considerate to others when parking.

COVID-19 PRECAUTION

We aim for everyone to have a great, safe experience. Please follow the guidelines and keep time at the venue to a minimum.

Car Park
Hand sanitiser will be available at the gate - please use it.
Keep horses on the left of the vehicles, which should leave plenty of Social Distancing room
No cars in the lorry park
No horses (or haynets) to be tied to the outside of lorries/trailers
People may bring a maximum of one helper – preferably from their Bubble
A skip and tools are available, so please pick up your droppings and use the hand sanitiser after touching the tools

Warm Up – Outdoor Arena
Enter at car park end
Exit at top end
Maximum of 6 horses in arena

Test - Indoor Arena
Previous competitor to wait in the indoor school or the Waiting Area until the next competitor has entered.
Helper may watch from the door area but must use the hand sanitiser if touching the door and must keep Social Distance from steward

After Test
Please leave the venue at the earliest opportunity
Numbers on site are limited
Test sheets and rosettes will be available in the gallery
