British Riding Clubs Area 10 & Area 13 Horse Trials Qualifier to be run in conjunction with The British Eventing Blindley Heath Horse Trials Blue Anchor Farm Eastbourne Road Blindley Heath Surrey RH7 6JL on Sunday 25th & Monday 26th May 2025

 

BRC Championships to be held on 2nd – 3rd August 2025 Swalcliffe Park, Grange Farm, Swalcliffe, Banbury, OX15 5EX

 

*Any BE member requiring qualification for Regional/National Championships must enter the BE Class not the BRC Area Class. The BRC Classes will be run as GOBE with qualification for the BRC Championships only

BRC INFORMATION 

• Eligibility for all classes can be found in the current BRC Handbook. Eligibility will be taken from the close of pre-entry (2nd May). All competitors must be a BRC member & be on the BRC Database by midday Friday 23rd May. 

• This competition will run under BRC Rules which default to BE Rules, anyone in attendance will be bound by the BRC Code of Conduct. Please see the current BRC Handbook, the BRC Rule Amendments & Changes and the BE Rule Book. 

• Horses can only enter once, so no horse can be ridden in two classes. • Flu Vaccinations: All Competitors must present Flu Vaccination Record at the Info Hub before competing. For any horse not on the Area 10 Flu Vacc Database, please send a copy by 14th May to megillam3@gmail.com. There will be spot checks at the event. 

• Flu Vacc Rules: Under BE rules competing horses MUST have had a vaccination within 6 calendar months and 21 days of the competition BUT not have a relevant vaccination on any of the seven days before it is to compete at the event. 

ENTRIES INFORMATION 

STEP 1: Pre-entries: TEAM ORGANISERS must submit a pre-entry to BRC by 2nd May (Ind: £16.50; Team: £66). Late entries cannot be guaranteed and so therefore must not be paid for until approval from the organiser has been gained. Late pre-entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organiser with a late surcharge of £12 per individual and £20 per team (payable on the BRC Pre-entries website) if space permits. If a pre-entry is made, clubs are agreeing to a binding constitution which means they must make an area entry payable to the designated account, regardless of whether the team/individual competes. STEP 2: Area Entries ALL COMPETITORS must make and pay for their Area Entry via the BE Entries System by 6th May at 12 noon. All horse and riders must be registered with BE (free of charge) before entering if not already a member & registered. ENTRY SPECIALS BOX: State AREA; CLUB & TEAM/INDIVIDUAL. Late entries are subject to the organiser’s discretion at an extra charge of £12 per horse. 

STEP 3: Club Declaration TEAM ORGANISERS must email the attached form to dmillerhds@gmail.com by 9th May. This confirms Team and Individual Competitors and Volunteers.

• Provisional timetable will be available on the BE Website Compete; Fixture; BLINDLEY HEATH (1); Classes. • Times: Available on eventingscores.co.uk from 1800 on Friday 23rd May. Will be texted to competitor. 

• Course Walking: From 2pm on Saturday 24th May. 

• Hats, Body Protectors and Flu Vaccination Record to be presented at the Info Hub before competing. 

• Hats: All hats must have a visible pink BRC/BE/PC hat tag in place before they are worn on the showground. Tagging at the Info Hub. Hats must NOT have a fixed peak for cross country, however fixed peaks can be used for dressage and show jumping ONLY. 

• Body Protectors: A body protector is obligatory for Cross-country and recommended for Show Jumping. 

• Number Inserts: to be printed by competitors from eventingscores.co.uk 

• NO CARS in the Horse-box Park 

• Owners/Supporters: If travelling separately please PRINT RIDER NUMBER and DISPLAY in windscreen.
