Classes will be qualifiers for the Sunshine Tour Championship at Hickstead including inhand and ridden

This ring is aimed at children under the age of 16 who have little showing experience and would like a friendly atmosphere where they can have a go! There will be a separate Championship for the ring where anyone who is place 1st or 2nd in the classes from Ring 4 can attend. The classes will still qualify for the Sunshine Tour championships if you place 1st-4th.

23.Clear round jumping will be available throughout the day.
£8 per round to be paid to the secretary. A raffle ticket will be given on payment per payment per round. You must present your ticket to the steward on the ring.
Rules & Conditions
HORSHAM & DISTRICT RIDING CLUB OPEN ANNUAL SHOW RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- No responsibility is accepted for anything that may happen from any cause whatsoever to competitors, spectators, horses, vehicles or property. It is a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the organisers & property owners against legal action arising from accident. COMPETITORS ENTER AT THEIR OWN RISK
- ANY NON British Riding Clubs (BRC) MEMBERS RIDING, HANDLING OR RESPONSIBLE FOR A HORSE/PONY AT A BRC EVENT MUST HAVE THEIR OWN 3rd PARTY INSURANCE
- CLASS TIMES: Every effort will be made to run Show to time but competitors & exhibitors should note that times shown ARE A GUIDE ONLY. Check HDRC Facebook page for regular updates. The organisers cannot be held responsible should classes overrun.
- The organisers have the right to alter classes and/or change judges should this become necessary, without due warning.
- No entry fees will be returned except (a) on production of a current veterinary or doctor’s certificate or (b) cancellation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, in which case entries will be returned less £3 admin fee on receipt of SAE within 10 days of show date.
- The Judge/s decision is final. Written objection to be made to Hon. Secretary's office together with £20 deposit within 15 minutes of the end of class concerned being judged. If objection is sustained the deposit will be refunded otherwise it will be forfeited.
- No horse/pony under 4 years to be entered in any ridden class. No substitution entry permitted without the Hon. Secretary's permission
- Horses, ponies & dogs to be kept under proper control. DOGS TO BE ON A SHORT LEAD
- A STALLION DISC must be displayed on each side of a stallion’s bridle at all times.
- In the interest of safety, all colts & stallions must be suitably bitted. They must not be led or ridden unless a suitable handler/rider has reached 15+ years of age on day of Show.
- HATS to current BSI standard PAS015 2011, ASTM F1163, AS/NZ 3838, VG1, SEI or SNELL 2016, must be worn and be SECURELY FASTENED AT ALL TIMES when mounted. Correct riding attire must be worn. Body protectors are recommended.
- SPECIAL ROSETTE to unplaced children 12 years & under who complete their class.
- PRIZES: Rosettes to 6th place. Sashes of Honour to all Champions
- TROPHIES to class winners. All are Perpetual Challenge Trophies. All must be signed for and returned CLEAN when requested. Engraving is at winner’s expense
- PRACTICE JUMPS to be jumped from correct side - red on the right. Failure to do so may result in elimination. CLEAR ROUND limited to 35 and judged according to BS rules
- ENTRY CLOSING DATE - Wednesday 9th July 2025 ADVANCE ENTRY FEES - £15 per class. LATE ENTRIES & ON DAY - £18 per class CLEAR ROUND JUMPING - £8 per round NB: PLEASE ADD COMPULSORY FIRST AID COVER - £4 PER RIDER / HANDLER
- LATE ENTRIES may be made on the show day up to 15 minutes before start of the class subject to class not being full, at £17 per horse/pony per entry. NB: CASH ONLY ACCEPTED ON SHOW DAY FOR ENTRIES AND FIRST AID FEES

- Competitors should not knowingly enter horses/ponies that have been bred, owned, and/or produced for the show ring by the judge. He/she can refuse to place it and the entry fee will be forfeited
HEALTH & SAFETY: The organisers of the show have taken reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and Officials.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL COMPETITORS Our Show is held at Sparright Farm, Rackham, by kind permission of Mr & Mrs N Dugdale. PLEASE DO NOT MUCK OUT YOUR HORSE BOX OR TRAILER ON THEIR SHOWGROUND. Thank you for your co-operation.

The majority of classes at this show are qualifiers for these Championships to be held 12th-14th September at the Hickstead show ground. Qualification goes down to 4th place. Qualifiers can register on the Sunshine Tour website and the email address is register@sunshinetour.co.uk
