We've decided to hold our Members Dressage Derby again after not doing it for several years. There will also be the usual open classes for any non-members wanting to ride.

 

The Derby is open to HDRC members only and there is a trophy to be won at each level of Intro, Prelim and Novice. You need to ride 2 tests at your chosen level and your score form each one will be added to decide the overall winner. 

 

Classes are Intro A & B, Prelim 7 & 14 and the Novices are 24 & 30.

 

Entries can be made on My Riding Life.

Entry Fees:       £14.00 members, £16 non-members per class.

MEMBERS DERBY You must enter the 2 classes at your chosen level i.e. Intro A&B, Prelim 7&14 or Nov 24 & 27. The winner at each level will be the one with the highest score across both classes.

 

DRESS  Everyone mounted must wear a hard hat conforming to current standards with the harness properly adjusted and fastened.

ORGANISER’S RIGHTS: The organisers reserve the right to alter, change, cancel and / or amalgamate classes or refuse entry without stating a reason. The judge’s /organiser’s decision is final. All competitors must abide by the steward’s instruction. Any persons riding or acting in a dangerous or inconsiderate manner or misusing whip or spurs may be asked to leave the showground and may be banned from future shows. 

RULES Classes will be run under the relevant equestrian body rules i.e. British Dressage/British Riding Clubs and the British Horse Society. In the case of BD these are available from the BD office at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire CV8 2LR 

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Save for death and personal injury caused by the negligence of the owners or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of the event to whom the rules apply nor the MSRC nor any agent, employee or representative of the Club accept any liability for accident, damage, loss, illness or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract, or in any way whatsoever.

 

NO lunging in sand school practice arena. Remember to clear all droppings from the car park before departure. Please be considerate to others when parking. 

 

WARM UP – Out door arena Enter at lorry park end and leave at far end. Maximum 6 horses 

 

NO haynets are to be tied up outside your lorry/trailer and NO horses are to be left tied up outside.

 

DOGS are welcome but must be kept on leads and under control at all times. Please pick up their poos! No dogs in the indoor school or gallery

 

PHOTOGRAPHS for this event may be used online by HDRC.  Photos may also be used in show reports to newspapers/magazines.  By entering this Show you are agreeing to this condition. If you have any objections, please contact the Show Secretary
