Area 13 Winter Novice & Intermediate Show jumping Qualifier

What a fab day we had last Sunday at Sands Farm! It was the Area 13 Winter Novice and Intermediate show jumping qualifiers and it was a busy day! In total Horsham had 16 members representing the club which was fantastic.

Beckii Davies and Ross Cripps both jumped super rounds in the 70cm as individuals with Beckii winning the class and qualifying and Ross second on his lovely young mare.

We then had two teams in the 80cm qualifier, Horsham Happies with Caroline Exley, Grace Mallinder, Michelle Nash coming first and qualifying which was fab as they were a team of only 3 as poor Clare Guy had a slightly lame mare.

Grace was third individual and Michelle 4th our other team Horsham Hippies with Vicky Allan Lucie Moore Melanie Kenny and a last minute Alan Murphy all jumped super rounds with just a pole or two and a couple of sat nav errors fabulous to have them all jumping! Pheobe Harvey-Mason also came 1st and qualified as an individual in the junior 80cm so well done to her! Horsham Hurrahs Ollie O’Reilly, Katherine Morris, Lois Williams and last minute Alison Brader all jumped superbly to come second. Ollie was first individual and Alison second. Liv Nolan was second individually as a junior.

Our mixed team of senior and juniors on the 100 were Ollie O’Reilly, Olivia Allan, Katherine Morris and Phoebe Harvey-Mason and it was a really exciting competition with just three teams and the jumps were WELL up to height, they came an incredible second. Ollie was first individual and Olivia 5th.

Finally our two girls Ollie O’Reilly and Olivia Allan jumped the massive looking 110, with Olivia coming first and Ollie third.

So really really well done to all of you, it was a pleasure to watch you all jump so beautifully and I can’t wait for the next set of qualifiers! Many thanks to Caroline Exley, Carol Porter, Jennifer Dentremont and Jacqueline Oxley who ran the day so smoothly! And massive thanks to Clare Guy who turned up to help even though she couldn’t compete, dedication indeed!!!
