Horsham had 2 seniors doing the 100 Challenge, a senior team in the 90 Challenge on Saturday and an individual junior in each of the challenges on Sunday.

Elise Gayler, Amanda Croft-Pearman and Becky Lloyd travelled up to Aston-le-Walls on Friday evening and eventually arrived after spending nearly 5hours on the motorways which were very busy with all the half term traffic. Once the horse were settled they enjoyed a lovely evening bbq before retiring to their lorries for the night. The rest of the senior riders travelled up on Saturday as we were lucky and didin't have to compete until 11.30am.

Becky Lloyd on her lovely horse, Wotsthecatch were the first Horsham member to go and did a super clear round in the show jumping and just had an unlucky run out when Becky lost both her stirrups after a rather extravagant jump going down a bank to a skinny hedge. Once her stirrups were regained they flew round the rest of the cross country with ease. The next member to go in the 100 Challenge was Ruth Starey on Wonhams Blossom Hill Lady (Moss)  who also rode a lovely round just rolling 1 pole in the show jumping before going clear round the cross country.

The 90 Challenge team consisted of Elise Gayler on Hotspur Last Tango, Louise Hamilton on Mr Gigolo, Elaine Ticehurst on Touch N Go and Amanda Croft-Pearman on Ashdown Red. Elise and Freddie did a double clear but Freddie found the flat going too easy and was a little fast whilst Louise and Giggy were also double clear and just 1.6seconds over the time to get an individual 10th place.  Amanda and Elaine both jumped well but received penalties so the team didn't get placed.

On Sunday it was the turn of the juniors with Ella Bubb doing the 100 and Ella Heron in the 90. Both juniors did a fantastic job representing Horsham with Ella Bubb doing a double clear but just too fast and Ella Heron also double clear to finish bang on the optimum time and winning!
