The Longines Royal International Horse Show (26-31 July 2022) is a five-star international event held each year at Hickstead, with the world’s best show jumpers and the country’s best show producers taking part. Each year, British Riding Club members have the chance to compete at this famous show.
The British Horse Society British Riding Clubs Team Showjumping championship takes place on Sunday 31 July 2022.
This competition is open to members of affiliated British Riding Clubs, so there is no need to qualify in advance. Riders must be a member of their respective club at the time of entry. It’s a team competition, with three riders per team. It is open to all members, with teams able to field two juniors this year if they wish. All horses must be over 14hh. No riders and no horses may compete in more than one team. For scoring all three scores count.
Each team should be made up of one novice horse (not to have won more than 75 BS points); one intermediate horse (not to have won more than 500 BS points) and one open horse (no points limit). Novice horses jump 0.85m, intermediate horses jump 0.95m and open horses jump 1.05m.
Any members wishing to be in a team for Hickstead please email caroline.exley@hdrc.org.uk. This event usually proves to be very popular so preference is given to members that have helped the most!
