Area 13 2021 Dressage to Music Qualifier

This is the Area Qualifier for the Nationals and London & Southeast Novice Championships being run this year by Mid-Sussex RC at Belmoredean, West Grinstead.

There are classes from Intro up to Advanced Medium, Pas Seul, Novice Pairs and Pairs costume classes. If you are interested in entering this please contact Caroline Exley by email at caroline.exley@talk21.com.

The Nationals are at Bury Farm, Slapton on 1st - 3rd October 2021

The L&SE Championship is at Sands Farm on Saturday 23rd October 2021

Area 13 2021 Dressage and Riding Test Qualifiers

This is your chance to qualify for the Nationals to be held at Lincolnshire Showground on 4th - 5th September 2021 or London & Southeast Novice Championship (Prelim only) at Sparright Farm, Rackham on Sunday 4th October.

Classes range from Intro to Advanced Medium, for seniors and juniors and are all held on a grass arena.

There is also the Riding Test which is similar to a dressage test, but marks are awarded according to the rider’s performance (effectiveness and presentation of the test), and the horse’s paces are not considered. This competition can be ridden as an individual or as part of a team; For senior teams, two members ride the Prelim RT and the other two ride the Novice RT. Junior team members all ride Prelim RT.

Area 13 2021 Show Jumping and Style Jumping Qualifier

This is a qualifier for the Nationals to be held at Linconshire Showground on 4th - 5th September 2021 and the London & Southeast Novice Championship(80cm only) at Sparright Farm, Rackham on Sunday 4th October 

The show jumping classes are 70cm, 80cm and 90cm are all split in to juniors and seniors with the 100cm and 110cm being mixed classes.

Style jumping is similar to show jumping, but marks are based on the rider’s performance and effectiveness rather than the horse's. There is a 75cm class and an 85cm class for this competition and is split into juniors and seniors. Individuals and teams may compete in this class; teams must have two riders ride at 75cm and two ride at 85cm.

All of these classes are jumped in a grass arena.

Royal International Horse Show BRC Teams of 3 Show jumping 2021

A Show Jumping Competition for teams of three riders; open to senior members of a British Riding Club which is affiliated to the British Horse Society (although teams may include one junior member if desired). Riders  must be members of Horsham Riding Club AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. Horses to be 14.0hh and over. Teams to be made up of one novice horse (not to have won more than 75 BS points); one intermediate horse
(not to have won more than 500 BS points); one open horse (no points limit). Points in each section to be correct at time of entry. Riders and horses may only compete in one team. All competitors must have their hats tagged with a BRC, PC or BE aqua hat tag in order to compete. This service will be available on the day. Please allow plenty of time!
Novice horses to jump 0.85m; intermediate horses to jump 0.95m; open horses to jump 1.05m. All riders scores to count.
In the event of elimination of one team member, 50 faults to be added, the remainder of the team to carry on. Competition
under Table A4. One round against the clock - competitors placed on faults and time. The team with the least number of
combined faults and the fastest combined time will be the winner - there will be no jump-off.

NAF Five Star National Horse Trials Championships 2021

The BRC NAF Five Star National Horse Trials Championships is a competition for both seniors and juniors, teams and individuals. The event consists of dressage, show jumping and cross country phases and woould normally have roads and tracks and steeplechase for selected classes but due to the Covid situation all classes will run as a 1 day event.

NAF Five Star National Championships 2021

Riders are able to compete in a range of competitions at this championship, from dressage to style jumping both individually and as part of a team. There are also a couple of direct entry dressage classes which do not require any qualification which will be added to the BRC website nearer the date. For eligibility of horse and rider, and to see what a combination is eligible to compete in, please see the current BRC Handbook.
