Date: 5th July 2016

Despite the awful wet weather leading up to the show, which led to some sleepless nights in the preceeding week, the ground at coombelands held up amazingly and on the day provided perfect going in all 8 arenas. Thanks to Gaye Harwood and her team who had done a tremendous job in ensuring the showground looked immaculate.

Thanks to all the judges, officials, volunteers and most importantly the competitors who came and supported the show in all 60 classes of dressage, show jumping as well as the numerous in hand and ridden showing classes. It was great to see many new faces as well as our regulars !

Most classes were well supported. In particular it was great to see the new ring dedicated to the pony classes being busy,  as well as the side saddle classes where entries were well up on last year. Veterans, and working hunter classes proved again to be the most popular and Chris Watts built his usual attractive working hunter course to challenge everyone.

We are thankful to all our sponsors who generously support the show, and we were able to offer some fabulous prizes, trophies, and goodie bags, as well as the super rosettes.

Finally congratulations to our In Hand Supreme Champion, and winner of the "Equi - star Horseboxes " Rug which went to Paul Armitage & Woodrow March Past who had won the Mountain & Moorland In hand championship earlier in the day. Reserve Champion went to Kathleen MacDonald & Waitwith Silver Jem.

And to our Ridden Supreme Champion and winner of the Sean Roche Farriers Rug which went to Esther Rostron & PenstumbleyOur Abram who had won the Ridden Veteran Championship  -  riding side saddle ! Reserve Champion was Helen Baker & Doctor Who .
