Congratulations

The committee would like to wish AJ and Richard congratulations on the birth of their son Alfie in March.

As you can see from this picture AJ is having a wonderful time being a mother but it means that sadly we are losing her as a committee member, although thankfully not from HDRC completely. Her energy, enthusiasm, IT knowledge and great sense of humour will be greatly missed by the committee. This means that we have a position available to fill. If any members are interested in joining our lively group please contact any committee to find out what's involved.

Thanks and see you there !

Your club needs you!

The Hunter Trials on Sunday 22 April and the Horse Trials on 3rd June need lots of volunteers to arrange.

This year especially Carol Porter has lost her usual Chief Dressage Steward at the horse trials and really needs someone with experience to run this.

There are many different jobs to do at both competitions and you don't have to be horsey. We always provide our volunteers with refreshments so why not put the date in your diary.

For the Horse Trials on 3rd June contact Carol Porter carolporte@aol.com

For the Hunter Trials on 22nd April it's Caroline Exley, caroline.exley@talk21.com

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Horse Passports

A reminder to members that when traveling with your horse you MUST have your horses passport with you. It is an offence to move your equines without their passport. Should you breakdown and you call  for recovery the first thing they ask is do you have your horse's passport? If no they have to report you to DEFRA and no transporter can move you. It is a very large fine plus the cost of being recovered by the Ministry

https://www.gov.uk/horse-passport

YOU MUST ALSO BRING YOUR PASSPORT TO BE CHECKED AT ANY BRC QUALIFIERS. YOU HAVE TO SHOW YOUR PASSPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STEWARD AT THE QUALIFIER.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR PASSPORT .

2018 BRC Grassroots Points League

The 2018 BRC Grassroots Points Leagues have now started, there are two separate leagues, one for 60cm or 70cm show jumping and one for dressage (Walk/Trot and Prelim level).

Why don't you download a points card and have a go. The points cards can be found on the BRC website if you click on the attacehd link: http://www.bhs.org.uk/enjoy-riding/british-riding-clubs/brc-championships/brc-points-league

Remember that the points cards must be sent into BRC Head Office no later than the 7th of each month, so that monthly scores can be updated on the BRC website and you will be able to follow the leagues points during the year.
