Horsham had qualified riders in all 6 classes for the RWHS/BRC competitions which took place each day of the show.

On Wednesday the Junior and Senior dressage riders had an early start with both their classes starting at 8am. In the Junior class was Melissa Joannides on Foxglove and the Senior rider was Kathleen Botting on Bristol Blue. Both did extremely well in a very tight competition to each come 5th in their section.

Thursday afternoon the Senior Novice Topscore riders had a much later start of 5pm for their class. Our rider was Louise Hamilton on Mr Gigolo who went round with a good score but was just out of the rosettes. This was also an Area competition so her score was added up with Kate Stillwell on Standen Melia and Marie-Anne Olivier on Monarch Motivator the other 2 riders from Area 13 and they came 2nd in the Team Section.

Friday afternoon the Senior Intermediate Topscore class had Kathleen Botting on Bristol Blue and Jenny Elgey on Oscar representing Horsham and Area 13. Kathleen and Blue did a great round but sadly had 1 down which just knocked them out of the rosettes and Jenny with Oscar also flew round to finish 5th. As the third rider from Area 13 that qualified was unable to go there were only 2 riders scores to count which meant the Area was unplaced.

The Junior Novice Topscore took place on Saturday with the only rider from Horsham and Area 13 being Charlotte Exley on Copperfield Iris. The time seemed to last longer than Charlotte had planned jumps for but everything still went really well and they went into the lead. They stayed there for most of the class but after a nail biting wait were just beaten into 3rd place.

On the last day of the show the Junior Intermediate Topcore riders had another early start of 8am. From Horsham and for Area 13 were Melissa Joannides on Foxglove and Hannah Cole on Brisbane.
Both rode really well and were only just out of the rosettes.
