We had three teams competing on the final day at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead in the Riding Club teams show jumping. Each team consists of 3 riders , one jumps a round at 85cm, one at 95cm and the final team member jumps 105cm.  It is against the clock and the fastest team with least total  faults wins. Sounds easy but with 120 teams from all over the country it is VERY competitive !

Jumping started at 8am and the last rider finished at 7.15pm so nearly 12 hours of competition, but at least the weather was kind and it was a lovely day with plenty of entertainment with varied standards of riding !

The winners were Mount Mascall for the 3rd year running ! Only 5 teams out of the 120 starters finished with 3 clear rounds, as the course had a few bogey fences catching many out and chasing the clock led to many knock downs and mistakes.

Horsham 's teams all rode beautifully with style and speed, with our team of Caroline Exley, Jodie Sole and Ruth Starey finishing with a very well deserved 8th as the 3rd fastetst team with just a total of 4 faults. Our other teams were not placed as some of our riders just had the odd pole down. So well done  to Susie Artlett, AJ Harwood Stamper, Zoe Chambers, and Holly Scott Downs , Abbey Sole, and Katherine Morris.

Thanks to Marilyn Turner, Max Gayler and Sam York for chef D'equipe during a very long, but most enjoyable day !
